Bricklayer Allegedly Dies Of Customs' Stray Bullet

A bricklayer yesterday lost his life during a clash between the enforcement operatives of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) and suspected smugglers in Ogun State.

The clash happened around Ebute community along Ilaro-Ojaodan axis of Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

It was said that the bricklayer was hit by one of the shots fired by customs officials who were in a 'battle' with smugglers.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Ogun State Command of the Customs, ASC Abdullahi Maiwada, in a press release however stated that the person who died was shot in the leg and he was one of the hoodlums.
