Evans Mamboleo Nyachuba visited his mother’s house at 8:30pm, when he allegedly found his 31-year-old sibling, Fred Onsongo Nyachuba, engaging in sexual intercourse with their 55-year-old parent Doria Moraa Nyachuba.
Mamboleo is said to have reached for a wood plank and smashed it against his brother’s face and the back of his head, killing him on the spot.
Bokisaba Location chief Philip Masenge confirmed the incident to K24 Digital.
Ekerenyo OCS visited the scene of crime and took Onsongo’s body to the Nyamira County Referral Hospital morgue.
The suspect, Mamboleo, has since been arrested and is being held at Ekerenyo police post.
Police say investigations into the matter have commenced.
This incident comes a month after a similar occurrence was reported in Kegati Village in Kisii County.
On March 8, a 35-year-old man from Kegati hacked his elder brother to death over claims that he had a sexual relationship with their biological mother.
Neighbours alleged that the victim had been engaging in sexual acts with his mother for a long time and that it was an open secret.
It was said that the suspect had gone to check on his mother at around 9pm but he did not find her. He went back at 11pm and heard people talking in the house. He called his mother but there was no response.
He broke the window to gain access to the house only to find his mother and elder brother in bed.
When the elder brother tried to escape, his sibling, who was armed with a panga, attacked him, and called neighbours to witness what was going on.
Kisii County Police Commander Jebel Ngere confirmed the incident.
It was established that the elder brother was a bachelor and often engaged in sexual relations with his biological mother when his father was away. The dad lives and works in Nairobi, though he visits his rural home occasionally.
