A family are pocketing an absolute fortune since they created a business selling s.e.x toys on eBay.
BuzzPinky was born in December 2011 – and nine years on, it's now turning over £1 million annually.
The company is made up of Chris Rice, 41, who runs the business with the help of his sisters Heidi, 43, and Melanie, 36, as well as his mum Gerrie, 63, and his brother Will, 33.
Chris oversees the business, while Heidi handles the order fulfilment and quality insurance.
Meanwhile, Melanie helps with warehouse duties, Gerrie deals with order prep and Will works in purchasing and new business.
In an exclusive interview with Daily Star Online, the founders of BuzzPinky have revealed why they thought to join forces to open a s.e.x toy business.
Chris said: "BuzzPinky was born in December 2011 when I was working alongside my current business partner Chris Hobbs as the business development manager for his e-commerce business.
"We both wanted to try to open something together and liked the idea of a sex store. I came up with the name BuzzPinky and we created our online store.
"It was a slow start. But when a gap in the market on eBay became apparent, we were in the perfect position to take full advantage.
"This allowed BuzzPinky to enjoy explosive growth and pushing our turnover close to £1 million within nine months.
"As BuzzPinky began to grow, the rest of my family joined the team and we now work together on what we hope will become and iconic brand."
With an 81% rise in s.e.x toys sold on eBay UK between 2017-2019, it is clear that the demand for sex toys is substantial, and in recent months there has been a surge in certain items.
Fortunately for those purchasing any products during the coronavirus pandemic, customers can still buy toys from the official website and expect UK delivery within two to three days.
Chris said that the family have witnessed increased sales with some of the adult toys.
Brands like LELO, with their Voyager Couples Toy, continue to be popular.
And there's clearly no awkward issues among the family when it comes to discussing s.e.x toys because the company is expecting to expand in the future.
As there's still a lot of stigma associate with s.e.x in general, the family working together in this business hope to change all of that someday.
Chris continued: "We believe in slowing things down a bit, focusing on how you feel about yourself and your body. There can be a lot of pressure to conform or fit in, and in some cases being told what's sexy or not.
"We believe it's fine to be you, we hope to offer our community a message of empowerment.
"Embrace your uniqueness, and value your decision to be intimate. It's very early days for us but we feel passionately about doing our bit to make people feel sexy."
