A police force has come up with a unique way of reminding citizens of the importance of social distancing, dressing up as the coronavirus itself.
In bizarre footage shared earlier this week, two uniformed officers disguised themselves as the deadly virus.
The officers were then seen walking the streets of the Bolivian capital, La Paz, to the beat of music, and conversing with shoppers.
As if the whole thing couldn't get any stranger their bright neon costumes, with their menacing grins, were pretty much indistinguishable from those of football mascots.
Joking aside, the force are hoping this overtly visual display could raise awareness of the importance of maintaining hygiene and social distancing measures during the global pandemic.
But the colourful display seems somewhat at odds with the country's strict lock down procedure which sees residents only allowed out once a week.
A revision to the quarantine guidelines states 'only one person per household can go out between 7 am and noon on weekdays'.
The country has also tightened its border controls in recent weeks in a bid to contain the spread.
