The teenager is alleged to have stabbed her dad during a domestic wrangle between the suspect’s mother and the deceased.
The incident happened at the couple’s home in Mukameni Village, Kang’onde Location in Masinga Sub-County, Kenya on Thursday, July 30.
Area Assistant Chief, Caroline Mwaluko, told K24 Digital that the attack victim returned home in the evening and picked a quarrel with his wife, the suspect’s mother.
During the melee between the partners, the teenager is said to have reached for a kitchen knife and stabbed her step-father in the rib area, leaving him seriously wounded.
The victim was taken to Masinga Sub-County Hospital before being transferred to Matuu Level 4 Hospital, where he died.
