Dayt – “Faaji”

Adedamola Tombrown aka Dayt, pronounced Date, is a Nigerian and American artist born in Lagos, Nigeria, who developed an interest in music from an early age while living in Lagos, he was born in a Christian home, and later became a Muslim. Mom won the visa lottery at the age of 15 to America and became a US citizen. Grew up with the influence of not having a father at home but my mom was like everything, head of the house—half of his life in Nigeria and half in America.

Indeed African but sometimes the influence of America can be seen in me both in his music, fashion and lifestyle. His music reflects a blend of Afro-pop and RnB with a Hip-Hop music influence. He mentioned you would see those genres later in his career. The track Faaji from his first EP project Fere Gpe Gpe came from his personality of being known as the party guy but now he has bills to pay, so his more focused on his career which eventually you will party with him later.
